I learned about this site from Officer Joel Espinoza whom I met last week at the Police Academy at the Ahmanson Recruit Training Center near LAX. Since I paint (oils--primarily still lifes and landscapes) I was interested in seeing the expressions of LA's finest. While the artwork was lovely and thoughtful, I was particularly struck by the accompanying words of the policemen/women-artists. Thank you!

Hi Juanita,

Your project and your site look great! This venue seems like a natural fit with your work.

Wonderful! I really enjoyed the site and of course the work! Congratulations! I know this has been a while in the making, but so worth all the effort! Dave Smith / Electromechanical Services

Juanita, A wonderful site! Great to see the artistic and creative side of some of our officers. I hope to see more in the near future. Maybe you can add a section for comical art. I'm sure there is plenty of material out there, and the chief would love it. Good luck. Roberto / Former soundman for "LAPD:Life on the Beat"

This site is clearly an attempt to bring Police work down to its basic level and that is to keep life in perspective " this art " no matter how juvenile made my day.

Juanita, My dear friend, Joel Espinoza, introduced me to this site; & what a delightful surprise it was for me to see the emotional side of the sworn officers. I really appreciate your hard work behind this project. Good luck for your next project. Rekha Nilkanth.

What a neat site. A buddy referred this site to me and what a slight morale booster, very slight, but I'll be telling my buddies and hopefully we can get some more pix up there. I know "Espi" has much more to show...Time to pull that infamous book out of that dusty 'ole shelf dude, and show your work....E
