Parker Center, 1995 Luke Magee Project Officer, Public Affairs [ME: You know a lot about art.] Magee: "Well, that’s what happens. You take a couple of courses in college, you become dangerous." [ME: You really liked it, huh?] Magee: "Oh, that and Shakespeare. And Greek Mythology. A lot of classical art they used Greek mythology as the subject. About the art: "[The] police officer is really involved with so many things, so there’s me with my tie selected by my wife, but then the schools are involved and people’s homes and then the church and its like its not just simply me, but it’s all those other things together. That what makes the job, I guess [they’re] what make me, but then [they’re] also what make my job harder or easier. So they [are] all interconnected, and maybe the flower [is] saying that’s a good thing." |
